Thank you for coming to our website! Our Mission is to provide help for residents in nursing homes and children and adults with disabilities.

The task of helping is huge and the opportunity to serve is great. Because I was born with spina bifida, I have a special interest in helping others who live with disability and chronic illness. The rewards for serving are immeasurable!
I personally invite your participation. Together we can make a difference. Here you will find some ways to help.  Mary Masters - Director of our charitable and humanitarian organizationPlease contact us if you have any questions.

Our Featured Volunteers

Mike & Diane McLaughlin

"Volunteering with Bridge of Hope brings us so much joy and satisfaction! Bridge of Hope is our Life Line with Christ, and we receive not only joy, but a deep sense of friendship with the residents."

Mike McLaughlin with Leroy

Mike and Diane started Pneuma Puppets in 1991 with their teenage son. They trained adults and teens to do puppeteering for Calvary Chapel. Missions included Russia, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Israel. They also performed in Spirit West Coast for several years. They have a huge variety of puppets, and part of their Bridge of Hope ministry includes providing puppet shows for Bridge of Hope parties and events. Diane says, "Because of my father's dementia and my niece's spina bifida, we started working with people with disabilities, using the puppets as a way of communicating and breaking down barriers." Mike's F-14 pilot experience and background as a teacher is a plus for the teaching ministry. Mike was a stunt pilot in the movie "Top Gun", and residents greatly enjoy hearing about his many exciting flying experiences. Both Mike and Diane also teach at our worship services, provide special puppet shows and entertainment, and assist with resident outings. Diane is Director of our nursing home resident Pen Pal Program, and also provides and assists with crafts and parties.
